Habitat
On damp, dead leaves of Phragmites, either on the ground or still attached to the plant, more rarely on Carex or other members of the grass family. Fall-early in the year. Scattered, often overlooked.
Macroscopía
Pileus 0.5-3 mm across, hemispherical-campanulate when young,
later broadly convex, center sometimes indented or umbonate, surface
dull, whitish-cream, center brownish, margin acute and finely
crenate-dentate, entire pileus radially furrowed. Flesh membranous,
odor and taste not detectable. Lameliae dingy whitish to
cream-colored, broad, L = 5-7,1 = 0, some at limes forked or not
completely developed, broadly attached to a +/- well-developed collar
around the stipe. Stipe 5-10x0.1-0.2 mm, cylindric, horsehairlike,
dull to shiny, dark brown to black-brown, whitish toward the
apex. Gregarious to cespitose.
Microscopía
A.Spores elliptic, smooth, hyaline, 8.3-11.5x3.8-6.3 um
B.Basidia clavate to cylin 16-27x6-8 ym, with 2 sterigmata and basal clamp. Latr. dextrinoid (wine-red).
C.Cheilocystidia  clavate to pyriform, with wartiike oulgrowths, 18-25x 8-14  micras
D.Pp hymeniform, composed of vesicular to pyriform cells 12-20 x 8-16 um, with strongly wartlike to digiliform outgrowths, interspersed with occasional with strongly wartlike to digiliform outgrowths, interspersed with occasional with strongly wartlike to digiliform outgrowths, interspersed with occasional with strongly wartlike to digiliform outgrowths, interspersed with occasional hyphal ends 5-8 micras,, likewise strongly verrucose, some septa with clamps.
